Our Story Is What Makes Us Strong

There are going to be moments in our story where all of our energy will be about survival. Second by second, minute by minute, carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders. Experiencing flashes where we cannot breathe, drowning in a sea of depression. We will feel like we are cutoff from the rest of the world. We will think we are alone in our suffering and we will stay there treading water, silently.

The truth is every person has a story, a time in their life when they were up against an obstacle that seemed impassable. By the time we are adults we will have experienced loss, rejection, betrayal, and disappointment. Some of us will have given up on our dreams. But there is strength in knowing at every opportunity we chose not to give up, that we chose to keep fighting.

We all have scars that run deep, some that will never heal. We have all been broken. But all of us are still fighting for the life we deserve and there is an enormous amount of strength and respect in that. Take a moment to be proud of yourself and remember our story makes us strong. You’ve made it this far and I have faith you’ll make it much further still.
